Expo panel app template
A flat app that opens as a floating panel on Meta Quest, Meta VR Glasses and Android XR, and as a web page everywhere else: big targets, a layout that fits a window, built with Expo.
- Built on
- Expo + React Native, a panel for headsets and a web page, in a Vite project. It is ordinary code in a folder on your computer: read it, edit it, keep it.
- Comes with
- The Builder plan and higher. See pricing.
- Runs on
- Any WebXR browser, such as Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro, and a flat screen with mouse or touch. The app has an emulated headset to try it before you put one on.
Requests to try
Start a project from this template and send one of these as it is, or change it to what you have in mind.
- A kitchen timer panel: three big timers I can start with one press, each with its own colour, that keep counting when I look away.
- A shopping list that groups items by aisle and lets me tick them off with one press; keep the ticked ones at the bottom.
- A dashboard for my day: the next three calendar items I type in, a notes box, and a big clock; a layout that works both narrow and wide.
- A reading panel: paste a long text and page through it with large Next and Back buttons and an adjustable text size.
- A simple remote: six big buttons that each send a request to an address I set in a settings screen, with a log of what was sent.
Start from it
Download Graspable, choose Expo panel app when you create a project, and say what you want. The agent edits the project on your computer and a run ends only when it builds and loads in a real browser.
