Graspable vs v0 by Vercel
With Meta’s template, v0 can take a prompt to a WebXR scene you open on a Quest. Graspable does the same on your computer with an emulated headset and a build gate. Which one, and when?
v0 is Vercel’s browser app builder: it generates Next.js and React apps, runs them in a Vercel sandbox and deploys them to Vercel. Meta published an official Immersive Web SDK template for it at Connect 2026. Facts about v0 by Vercel are from its own pages, listed at the end, last checked on 3 October 2026. Choose Graspable when
the scene is the product: you want hands, controllers, a room, splat worlds, headset tests replayed after every change, and the code in your own folder with your own AI account.
Choose v0 by Vercel when
you already build on Vercel, want nothing installed, and a one-click HTTPS deploy of a WebXR starter is enough.
Side by side
- What you build
- GraspableA desktop app for macOS (Windows and Linux are coming). You describe a 3D or XR scene; an AI agent builds it as a real React Three Fiber and WebXR project in a folder on your computer.
- v0 by VercelNext.js and React web apps. WebXR through the "Immersive Web SDK Starter App" template from Meta (24 September 2026), a static Vite app with the IWER emulator in development.
- The AI
- GraspableYour own AI account: an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter and others, a ChatGPT subscription, or Claude Code with a Claude subscription. Models come from the provider’s own list.
- v0 by Vercelv0’s own composite models (Mini, Pro, Max, Max Fast); the frontier models behind them are not named. No bring-your-own key found.
- Where it runs
- GraspableOn your computer. Projects, previews, builds, keys and sign-ins stay there. A paid plan can move a project to a Cloud Agent and back.
- v0 by VercelIn the browser and a Vercel sandbox; deploys to Vercel.
- Checking the result
- GraspableA run ends only when the project builds and loads in a real browser without errors; recorded headset sessions are replayed after every change.
- v0 by VercelThe sandbox fixes build errors; the Meta template "ships with an XR emulator, so you can step into your scene from any browser" (Quest emulation).
- Headsets and devices
- GraspableAny browser with WebXR. The app emulates a Meta Quest 3 or Meta VR Glasses in the preview; a project opens on a Quest or an Apple Vision Pro over Wi-Fi or USB.
- v0 by VercelMeta Quest; a PWA path to the Horizon Store. Vision Pro and Android XR are not mentioned.
- Your code
- GraspableOrdinary code on your disk: React, three.js, React Three Fiber, @react-three/xr. Yours, in any editor, with a version per run.
- v0 by VercelDownload a zip or sync to GitHub, which then "becomes the source of truth". Vercel does not own the generated code.
- Price
- GraspableFree to build with on your computer, on every plan. Builder $20, Pro $40, Studio $99 per seat add Cloud Agents, Fast mode, premium templates, teams and Credits (graspable.dev/pricing).
- v0 by VercelFree with a daily message limit; Plus $30 per user a month with $30 of credits; Business $100 per user a month; Enterprise custom (v0.app/pricing).
- Native headset apps
- GraspableWeb only today: no Unity, Unreal or native headset builds.
- v0 by VercelNone; web only.
Where v0 by Vercel is the better choice
- No install and a one-click deploy on Vercel.
- An official Meta template with Quest emulation inside the sandbox.
- Strong Next.js and design-system tooling for the flat parts of an app.
Where Graspable is
- XR is the whole product: templates for scanned rooms, hand-tracked interfaces, physics games, splat worlds and multi-user spaces.
- An emulated Quest 3 or Meta VR Glasses with recorded sessions as tests.
- Your own AI account and the code on your disk.
- Apple Vision Pro over the local network, not only Quest.
Our take
v0 with Meta’s template gets a WebXR starter onto a Quest with nothing installed, which is real. Graspable starts from the same idea and goes further on the parts that make an XR scene work: templates for rooms, hands and physics, an emulated Quest 3 or Meta VR Glasses, replayed headset tests, Vision Pro, and your own AI account. For an XR project that will grow, we think that is the better default.
Graspable is our product. The facts above are what we found; this paragraph is what we think.
Try Graspable
It is a desktop app, free with your own AI account. Describe a scene, watch it being built as a real project on your computer, and open it on your headset. See what people made and the requests behind each.
