Unity for XREAL template
A native Unity project for XREAL glasses: Project Aura through Android XR out of the box, XREAL One and Air through the XREAL SDK you add; hands, gaze and the real room, built as an Android app.
- Built on
- Unity 6 + OpenXR + Android XR profile, XREAL SDK optional, in a Unity 6 project with a Graspable kit of scripts and prefabs. It is an ordinary Unity project in a folder on your computer, built with your own Unity.
- Comes with
- The Builder plan and higher. See pricing.
- Runs on
- Meta Quest 3 and 3S, Meta VR Glasses, Android XR headsets and XREAL glasses, as an Android app you build from Graspable and install over USB. Play mode in the Unity Editor stands in for the headset while you work.
- You need
- Unity 6 with the Android module and the Unity CLI on your computer; Graspable finds them and never signs in for you. See native XR.
Requests to try
Start a project from this template and send one of these as it is, or change it to what you have in mind.
- A heads-up cooking timer: three timers floating at the edge of my view that I start with a pinch, each with a soft chime.
- Floating labels on real things: pinch on an object to put a label there, look at a label to read it, pinch again to remove it.
- A walking tour marker: place arrows on the floor with a pinch, and a label that says how far the next arrow is.
- A tiny workbench: a ball to grab and a button to change its colour, placed on whatever real table I pinch on.
- A gaze-driven menu: four cards in front of me that open when I look at one for a second and close when I look away.
Start from it
Download Graspable, choose Unity for XREAL when you create a project, and say what you want. The agent edits the project on your computer and a run ends only when it compiles and runs in play mode without errors.
